  • Cummins Programmer Question

My buddy is looking at buying a 2010 Dodge 3500 dually and wants to see what he can do to get more MPG's.

I don't know shit about diesels, a quick google search brings up lots of recommendations for Smarty programmers, but it doesn't appear they make one for the 2010 Cummins yet.

This will be his daily, what programmer and/or mods will help mileage? Or is it even worth messing with? I'm guessing it could cause some warranty issues?

    Thanks for any input!

I was reading this thread http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/6-...rogrammer.html and H&S was mentioned. But I cannot find a website for them?

Another vote for the H&S here. I worked in the diesel performance world for a couple of years and saw every combination you could think of, and 9 out of 10 times H&S came out of the clear cut winner.

Is Smarty still the best for the older ones? I see they go up to 2009 now.

Smarty is still the best for 03-07 5.9's IMO, but you can get a used Bully Dog cheap...

Smarty works great on 07-09 6.7's, but I think I would still lean towards H&S on those years, they've just got more tuning options
