The mass air meters on those cars are already big enough for NA.
Go with a stall, long tubes, gears, plenum and throttle body, JLT cold air and some tires and it'll be fun from a dig.

Mine has all the above and cams. It dynod just over 300rwhp. Nothing special but it's fun.

Just buy a used Vortech system and a 3000 stall convertor and DRs. It will be a fun street car but will still get drug by cars like the newer mustangs, camaros, etc.

Out of all the bolt on mods I did to my 04 GT Auto, I liked the 2800 stall converter and 4.10s the most.

i suggested a PI stall(not sure what size though)
            headers(maybe,maybe not?)
            Xpipe
            3.73 gears
            CAI

any other suggestions besides seeling that car for new 5.0(which was another option lol)

You killed my first 2 options (spray it's brains out or buy a 3v/4v) Roy

My 03 ran plenty hard on a 100 dry shot, ran a spinnerific 13.8 @ 105 the only time I took it to Ennis.

But in all seriousness, hunt down a used P1SC. Absolutely no hassles once it's on and with a safe tune, it'll make 400 to the tire... with a converter and good tires it should have no issues being a 12.0/115 car.

There are only 3 things (one of them involves more) that I'd recommend....

                      1. 4.10s
                      2. A tuner to control the transmission a little bit.
                      3. A blower (with associated, MAF, fuel pump, plugs and all that jazz)

Yes, TrickFlow makes heads for 2V's.

so 4.10s over 3.73's? that should be nice coupled with a 3000 plus stall, headers,x pipe,cai,100 shot dry and of course a tune! that should be good for some what high 7's in the 1/8????

Maybe with some real sticky tires...yes, 4.10s for sure with the auto. No more than a 3k stall if he daily drives it.
