Why buy a camaro when you can buy a mustang? Why buy a mustang when you can get a vette? Because if everyone did the same thing it would be boring. Diversity is the beauty of the automotive world. Everyone can literally modify to their personal liking.

By your theory, having any front drive accessory is a bad idea? They drive off the crank and add added stress...

If you route the two belts correctly they will be pulling against each other and almost eliminating the added stress you talk about.

Everyone has their own opinion, I personally prefer a procharger over any other power adder. A turbo kit built with the same quality as the procharger kit will cost almost twice as much as the procharger kit I mentioned.

Mid frame T6 based turbo. The BW stuff is cheap and it makes good power. I really like the billet 82mm they make. Depends on how big motor you have though.

In today's world of power adders there is almost not a bad choice in any of them. I will break it down from my point of view,

Nitrous - will shine the best at the track, will still work great on the street. Down side is bottle, temp and filling bottles
(this will be my favorite for the track for no other reason than the simple install and how easy and well it works at the track)

Blower - This will be a great all a round, works good at the track, works good on the street, but heat will be a small issue with a big blower, belts fail, ect (this would be my 2nd favorite for the street, last favorite for the track)

Turbo - This is a tricky one, Everything about the turbo as far as the set up for each application (drag, street) will be more geared for that type of racing. Little bit of lag or spool time but once you are in the power band this will make the most power and torque and run the best for the HWY's in Mexico. (this would be my first choice for the street and second choice for the track even though this will be the best choice of power adder for power. If this was a track only car then I would go turbo)
