  • 2000 expy rear wiper

Anyone on here had trouble with the rear wiper? We bought the truck a couple of years ago, and it worked. Eventually it worked intermittently and finally just stopped. I replaced the motor and it still doesn't work. The fuse is fine. Is there something I'm missing? Could the switch be out on the steering column? The front wipers work fine. Is there some sensor I don't know about?

On my old 2001, I would have to tap/hit the wiper shaft a few times then it would work again. I know it was a common problem on the 2001's

I've seen some suggestions like that. Tapping on the shaft or making sure the nut is completely tight or turning it on and pushing the wiper up and it working. Seems incredibly inconsistent to me.

Well fuck me. I went out there, tightened the bolt down on the shaft, tapped the shaft and the damn thing worked.

Makes no sense at all. Is there some motion sensor or something inside the motor?

I seem to remember reading about a faulty connection.
