In the past year and a half I have went 130+ twice.

When I "race" it doesn't even see 120-125 most of the time.

After I went to jail for acting out while driving I cooled my shit tremendously.

Maybe it's the corners I've been taking? Lol
Replicas might be your problem. Who made them? If it's some Chinese company you found you're answer.

Mike when you take it up to even 90 mph on a 50 punch & then slam on the brakes to stop it does just like 4bangin said it heats them up when your slam on the brakes at those speeds . Cause I know for a fact you have to slam on your brakes pretty hard sometimes when your roll racing to avoid other cars going the speed limit. Point is just like your rotors warp. It also puts stress on your rims. Keep it on the track man

I am going to take mine off. Have a decent set of Khumos on them too. Chrome with chrome center caps. I still need to buy rear axles for the 5 lug swap. And also have a set of gray pony center caps if you take the ones above.

I always heard "chrome weakens metal" but really that isn't true... however, Hydrogen Embrittlement can be a problem associated with chroming certain types of metal.

What would you want for the grey center caps?

I think I found a set on CL without caps for a decent price.

Absolutly. But I'm the type of person that does it right or doesnt do it at all.

                              94/95 spindle
                              Later model sn95 brakes, 99-04.
31 spline 5 lug axles, w/ ranger drums.
+ wheels and tires.. 99gt wheels or bullets would be the cheapest.

                              $$$$$$
