Was kicking it around on doing a Chevy motor swap. What else would you need besides cross member k member drive shaft and bell housing adapters and headers. Found an lq4 motor complete with 80k for 1200 was thinking of doing a head and cam swap into the lq4. Tell me your opinions pros and cons

An LQ4 with 80K only needs a cam swap and a carb'd intake to be cheap reliable power. Search online for Car Craft's old article "LQ4 Junkyard Dog"...480-something horsepower to the crank with nothing more than headers, GMPP Carb'd intake & 750cfm, Hot Cam, and MSD 6LS. Really easy swap too.
Good friend of mine just did this exact combo in a split bumper second-gen Camaro I sold him a year or so ago....through a Th350 it put over 460 to the tires...so obviously even better results than the magazines.
I've also got the same combo going into my old C10...04' LQ4, Hot Cam + valve springs, GMPP intake (Thanks again Pooter!), MSD 6LS, and some nice headers. All in total I'll probably have about $3K into the swap including the 700R4 Trans....just can't beat it for the power and reliability.
Hell, I bought this engine so much on the cheap that I might even decide to throw a plate on it and see what happens...I expect it'll break the trans before anything else.70' Chevelle RagTop

Wow that's not to bad. So you are leaving the heads alone. Just larger valve springs. I wonder how much a out of the box trick flow head would gain you over the stock head. I know the headers in the mustang would cost 400+ to fit in a fox. Already have new 750 quick fuel carb. And a plate. And by chance is there a k member that you can bolt up a ford or Chevy motor in the car.

For what it cost to go efi it's a no brainer.
Lq4 are damn good motors (so far)! 5.3s are TERRIFIC
5.3 with a cam and set of springs will net you 340-350 to the rear.
I have a complete motor and trans 5.3 4l60e
With all the accessories and ECM for sale if your really serious.
You won't have to worry about finding ALL the sensors all the brackets etc.
Drive by cable as well and hear it run.
Chevy LS motor= PRO
All you need for the swap is
Headers
Kmember
Subframe connectors (so you can tie your trans crossmember to them)
Drive shaft (also will need a car tail housing)
Shifter
Gauges
Wiring harness
Oil pan (truck pan hangs to low)

Your letting the cat out of the bag!
I would "think" most folks would realize that you don't need 700CI
to run FI,on the cheap.
At least I would hope so.
