  • 4-5pt harness questions.

Been a while since I have bought one. Who has the best prices and what is the best release device currently? Think easy so the wifey wont hate it.

my next set will be camlock. I have a new hookup that is generally a few bucks cheaper than the jegs/summit/smilies route, if you need it.

I have camlock's in my car and they are easy. They are G-Force brand 5 points.

do not use a 4 point, the purpose of the dive strap is to keep the lap belt around your hip bones, if it slides up, it will literally rip your internals apart. hips can take about 3600 psi before a problem sets in, move that lap belt up 2" and your lower intestine comes apart at less than 900 pounds of force.

Generally this will be used in case I am upside down from a slow roll. I do see what you are saying and I will more then likely end up with a 5 point since the price difference is not that much.

RCI CamLock. Local (Tyler) Texas company...Less cost for shipping them back to get them re-certified.

Well for 60.00 I figured I would try the cam lock and a six point bitches. Harness is less then a year old so I snatched it up. I gotta say there is no way I will go back to the regular latch. I like the way you can snap this thing in and out also. I am going to track down some rear female seatbelts for a TJ. I have heard you can use them with this seat/console set up and still retain stock belts for cruising around town. Currently there is no way the stockers will fit with the Mastercrafts/ Tuffy in there. Ordering my cage pieces this weekend. Yes I know the front harness goes thru the center I was just screwing with it.
