I think the booster on my 95 Cobra took a dump so I'm going to verify my suspicions later today, and replace it if necessary. Any tips to make it easier?

you need a lot of patience and a ratcheting wrench that has a swivel head. Like these.
I just replaced the one in my 92 and went from the 4 banger pancake to the sn95 big booster. It sucked, but I got it in there. Yours should be a lot easier.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

It would also be easier if you remove the seat, but not sure how much you want to do to get to it. I didn't remove my seat, and it took about 2.5-3 hours just to remove the booster... and a few more to install it but I had to use a BFH and a drill for the studs on the SN95 booster to fit.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

I don't think its the booster afterall. I noticed a loud hissing sound at lunch today. Opened the hood and the oil fill cap was off. That thing pulls a ton of vacuum, so I tightened the oil cap, and the noise went away. I hooked up a cacuum gauge and it showed about 14" at idle. Took off the oil fill cap and it drops to 9". That's why my brakes were pooped out. I threw the laptop on the car and put her in open loop. With the cap off it got super lean like 16.4 AFR and ran like crap. Cap back on and its at about 14.6. I hope that was all it is. I'm still driving the Lightning today so I really haven't taken the car on a road test. Felt ok in the driveway though.

Fwiw. A 93 cobra booster and sn 95 are the same in size and will both work on a fox. The 95 booster uses diff nuts and has a little bit off stud offset. Not that it matter in this thread but to all future sn95 swap foxes out their, now ya know. One day at a time.
