I have to do work on the Maverick a little at a time before getting it painted. It does sit outside during this. When I have bare metal, I need to seal it up to prevent problems, but normal primer will absorb moisture and rust underneath. I've heard epoxy primer is what I need, I only checked one place but it's about $237.00 a gallon for everything. Is there cheaper place, or cheaper thing I can use. I'm about to use spray can primer, then shoot the area with Duplicolor for sealing, but that gets expensive too, only to sand off later.(more work!)

You can try Duponts entry level material Nason. It is availble at Gladwin off 35 and Harry Hines. Or PPG's entery level material Omni availble at English Color or Finish Master. Both Manufactures make an epoxy sealer. I use that on jobs where money is an issue for the customer. I prefer PPG's DP40LF. It can be had for about $80 a quart IIRC. It is a lead free epoxy sealer that sticks to anything...

Found some Eastwood...quarts...Just need to do a fender, front gravel pan, and the spots that get repaired. Maybe that's enough? Then maybe just have Maaco shoot it, it's not going to be worthy of an expensive job!
