  • Mustang Tires; Pirellis or BFGs?

These are the only two choices I'm looking at to put on my 07 stang. I failed inspection cause of tire's so now I'm in the market. My 07 had BFGs then I switched to Pirellis since they were cheaper and were stock on all newer stangs. I can get te Pirellis for about $200 cheaper than the BFGs, but I felt the BFGs handled better. Both sets lasted only about 20K miles on my car which I guess is on par for Z rated tires. So are you guys with newer stangs happy with Pirellis, or would you spend the extra $200?

I like the Pirellis better than the BFGs. I've owned both. You're right though, they both only last about 20k miles. I think the Pirellis are quieter.

      17's or 18's?

I have the factory 18" wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires complete with TPMS that i'm looking to sell. Tires have 50% + tread life left...

They are 18's, but I'm looking to buy new unless the price is ridiculously low. Just trying to get a feel on how everyone else likes the Pirellis's. I priced some Michelins, but they were a bit more pricey than expected.

Do you have them in the classifieds and if not how much?

The michellins are great tires, I have them on my Cobra and on most of my cars, but the Pirellis are a good tire for the money. Like I stated already you cant beat them for the money and they are smoother than the BFG's.

I hear ya on the Pirellis. I would love some Michellins, but the Pirellis are a 1/3 of the cost for them and Pirellis aren't exactly cheap.

Mine factory Pirellis lasted 17k miles, I was doing the same thing, looking for replacement tires and Michellins are expensive. I just put back on the Pirellis and see if I can take care of them a little bit better, if I can get 30k out if this set I will be happy.

I'd take $600 for the set, Wheels, Tires, and TPMS... They are still mounted to the wheels. Don't have a way to meet so would have to pick them up or come by to look at them. wheels are in perfect condition, no rash of any kind. I can snap pics if you want...

Too bad you need 18's. I have a new set of 19" Pirelli's P Zeros that came off of my wifes 13 GT that have about 100 miles on them.
