  • Ecoboost wheelhop solutions

Just wondering if any of you ecoboost guys have been experiencng any wheel hop, and if so what are you dong to combat it. Truck is a 2wd with 3.55's and the tiny stock tires. (265's) I have a 4" exhaust kit and it is running the SCT 87 tune. From a dig, if I go WOT or even ease into it a little (let the turbos spool) them floor it, at times it will get the worst wheelp hop I've experienced, much much worse than the 5.0 The other night, I thought I was about to break something the truck was bouncing so hard.

    Any input is appreciated

Buy/build some traction bars to keep the axle/spring from rotating.
Not sure if Caltrac makes anything for Fords?

Smith racecraft will custom build some long bars for you, way better than caltrac.

Just spoke with Tim, the owner of the shop. He said they really only deal with Chevrolet stuff. I let him know I am going to get this done in April when I get back from Sill. I offered to bring the truck down for him to look at. He let me know that he is going to go to the dealer, take some measurements and custom make them and have them ready for whenever I want to pick them up. He definitely cares about customer service! Thanks for the referral VaderTT!
