I recently purchased a boat with a carb motor. When you first start it it has to run for around 5 minutes before I can sucessfully put it in gear without dying. I guess that might be ok for a car, but it sucks on a boat ramp when a lot of people are waiting on you lol. I can't even rev it up a little and put it in gear. It just dies immediately...... So what do I do? Once the boat is up to temp it runs/starts/drives fine for the rest of the day. Even after sitting for a while. Where do I hook the laptop at Any helpful advice is appreciated.

Verify choke if there is operational. Spray carb cleaner in all the air bleeds to get any dirt out of them. This is if the base carb settings are correct.
Just so you know it will likely not show up on the muffs. The exhaust on a boat comes out of the prop which its under water and creates a pretty big restriction and will make carb problems worse89 dove grey lx, turbo blowthrough
