A few months back, I had a shop install gears on a 2012 Mustang. From right after, the gears would whine on decel. They swore up and down that it was because I had LcA's and that I needed an adjustable upper control arm to get the degree right. The car did not whine before the gear install with suspension mods, but did after. Fast forward to this week. The gears are now making incredible amounts of noise, especially at higher speeds (65+). I did install an adjustable uca and mount, no difference was made. Where do I go from here? Should I go back to the shop, again, or just redo the gears? I knew I should have done them myself to begin with...

Improper setup. Gears should not whine. I would take it back ASAP. I had the same thing happen.
The longer you wait, the more chance you have of still getting some whine even with a correct setup, due to the gears beginning to break in and mesh with an incorrect setup. At least that is what I was told could be a possibility when I took the diff back in.

Call Travis and tell him exactly what you want done. Talk to Travis specifically. I have made this mistake on going around him because I felt the rest if the shop was burning me. Give Travis directly the chance to make it right. Thus is what I wish I had done vs speaking with his workers and nit him
