  • New brake pads, rotors, and calipers a pull to the left...

    1997 gt vert
    had all the work done and it pulls left bad when you break and abs light came on at same time work was done?

    have taken it two different places and they are at a loss over why it is pulling...any suggestions brake experts may know?

    Brakes and Traction Control: Pinpoint Tests
    A - Brakes Pull or Drift
    A1- Road Test Vehicle
    - Road test vehicle and apply brake pedal.
    - Does vehicle pull or drift ?
    YES - Go to A2.
    NO - Vehicle OK.
    A2- Tire Inspection
    - Check for excessive wear or improper tire pressure.
    - Are tires all the same size and in good condition ?
    YES - Go to A3.
    NO - Inflate tires to proper pressure. See the vehicle certification label on door jam for proper specification. Replace excessively worn tires.
    A3- Brake Pad Inspection
    - Inspect brake shoe and lining for grease or fluid on the linings and/or wear concerns.
    - Are brake shoes and linings OK ?
    YES - Go to A4.
    NO - Service or replace as necessary.
    A4- Check alignment
    - Check alignment of all four wheels.
    - Are all wheels properly aligned ?
    YES - Go to A5.
    NO - Service vehicle and repeat A1.
    A5- Inspect underside Components
    - Raise and support vehicle
    - Spin wheels and compare drag from side to side on the same axle.
    - Does one side drag ?
    YES - Determine source of drag and service. For example, parking brake not releasing, worn wheel bearings or binding caliper.
    NO - Re-evaluate wheel alignment. Replace brake shoes and linings on all four wheels.

      Did you bleed the system? If so I would check to make sure the passengers side brake caliper hasn't seized up.

      It sounds like you have air in the system on the passengers side caliper

        no air in system, no simple answer. three days two places, still doing it

          You try turning right slightly when you stop? Should fix it.

              Did you make sure to grease the caliper slide pins? Didn't pinch off a brake hose did you?

                Brake line stretched to the point it broke the liner and is a obstruction causing a slow apply or debris on the piston is causing it to hang up . It's a 97 put lines and calipers on it .
