i want to start looking into a stall for my AOD. i want to be able to stall it up to 3K, so i thinking i should get a 3200 stall. what should i look into? has anyone had experience with them? would like to get pointed in the right direction really.

Once you go turbo if you have a pretty powerful setup you'll need to get a different converter or have that one tweaked anyway.

Get whomever is selling the converter to tell you what you need to go with your combination. Give them everything you know, and don't exaggerate.

this is what i have. the only thing i put on it was the Explorer intake, everything else was on it when i bought it. after the intake, and learning the car, i went from a previous best of 9.5's down a vehicle best so far of 9.18, and picked up 3 mph on those runs.

I have a this cheap B&M in my car . http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-40438/
I think I would like it better if it was a lock up because I think I am loosing some Fuel mileage on the highway . You can see the slip but it works pretty good for my heavy vert . I think if your plan is to upgrade later just go with a cheap 3k now and spend the money on a good one after the turbo . BTW my car has a mild 351 and 3.73 gears and ran a 1.8 60ft 8.2 1/8 and a 12.9 1/4 last weekend . It aint fast but it works good for a 300 dollar converter .Big Rooster Racing
