  • Any of you guys have any spare slicks laying around?

I'm in need of some slicks, I've just about exhausted my current set. They have the cords showing.

    26/27x 8-10 x 15 is desired.

Let me know what you have any what you would want for them!

    Thanks!

If this is for street use mike get some hoosier quick time pros.

They last a shit ton longer than et streets.

The et streets didn't last long and the et drags lasted even less, if I'm running them on the street I don't want anything fancy, just something that will hook and not spin.

I ran a 230awhp wrx today.. From a 40 I still spun with 18psi in my 26x10 et drags. I still won but not by as much as I could have. I tried a 30roll in 1st, which normally hooks and it didn't.. So I'm done with the spin game.

i daily drove hoosiers all the time. Im telling ya man they are a much better street tire. Also once you wear off the trad pattern there are holes just like a full slick. I'd say they have twice the actual rubber compared to a et street.

I ran mine at 16psi for driving. If i knew id be racing that day id roll them at 12.

I have also never seen a 230hp coupe light slicks up from a 40 roll haha.

They still hook fine at the track?

I drive ~7 miles a day to and from work and maybe race 5 times a month at a little meet we have set up, so I'm not really putting a lot of miles on any thing. I run regular street tires daily and swap wheel/tire for when I race. It's some real hard core shit.

By the way, I'm about to have a dd.. Which means no more shit. I have finally saved enough $ to comfortably do things without living paycheck to paycheck like last year.

Well I had 18psi them, they didn't light up and burn off they just spun enough to piss me off. And from a 30 in 1st it didnt catch until after I hit second and then some..

I'm thinking it has alot to do with the suspension, being stock and extra shitty.

The hoosiers dont walk as much either.

I got a chuckle out of a few people at the track. Id be taking off slicks and putting on full et drags haha.

Would a 27 inch tire be better the a 26 for street use?

I know at the track my ideal tire is a 26x9

I have a used set of 28x10.5x15S Stiff wall. They still have a lot of life left and I was pulling mid 1.3 60fts when I took them off. Make me an offer

I really don't want a 28 inch tall tire, it would make it be a bigger turd.

lol well there really isn't any difference between a 27 & 28 tire. I run 28" slicks at the track and drive around on some 27" DR's on the street. I can't tell any difference. I'll sell them cheap. Make an offer.

Hell I'll make you a deal. I have some pretty much brand new Jegs wheels that look like draglites 15x10 6.5BS and I'll throw the slicks in with them for $250 The wheels are painted black.
