  • help? 351w question

    i have a 351w i am putting back in a 1985 ford f150 and need to know what i can use to plug the egr holes in the back of the head. i am not running the egr so i am removing the tube that connects at the back of the heads.

    I've used a really big bolt, I forget the thread though. Helps dont it?

      thermactor plugs just like in the front.


      Or thread a couple spark plugs in and knock the ends off...

          I've always used these allen plugs you can get at HD or Lowes, they're pretty big too.

            If the holes are threaded, use a bolt. If not, just cut the tube, crimp it back together and weld the end, then bolt it back in place.

              I usually buy a 1 1/2" long bolt, cut two plugs out of it, cut a slot in one end and screw them in flush.

                  does any one have a picture of how the brackets for the accessories go? this motor has been out for three years and i cant remember where they go back on. i new right after i took them all off i should have taken pictures of how they were. i did a google search but couldnt find what i was looking for. it is a 1985 ford f150 with a 351w.
