Piece of cake! If I remember right the passenger side goes in from the top and the driver goes in the bottom. Take the starter off too, will be a lot easier to get it in.

I can't imagine any LT job being worse than a 4.6L with a stock K member.

This. Or get a heat sleeve from O'reillys. It will slide on over the clutch cable.

I've got BBK longtubes on my '92 and had to put the sleeve on my clutch cable to prevent melting cables.

I don't think there is much of a power difference over shorties on a basic H/C/I 5.0. I did it mainly for sound with the aftermarket cam. I put them on with the engine out (much easier). They put off a TON of heat. I should have spent a little extra and got ceramic coated, or just stuck with some ceramic shorties.

Mine are ceramic coated, and I currently have the stockers on the car now.

I'm planning on doing this tomorrow, hopefully it's not a pita. Lol

Troof. Did one with my dad with stage 8 locking bolts. Never again.

Starter off and unbolt mounts, super easy 1.5hr job in my drive way.

I installed some long tubes on mine, wasn't to hard. Struggled a little with the passenger side and as stated just remove the steering shaft on driver side and should be good. It quieted down my car with the spin techs. I'll be putting my shorties back on (car is being torn down)

quieted down your car? Spintechs and longtubes make mine sound like a damn nascar.

Long tubes reduce the drone you hear inside the car dramatically.

Also agree with the sleeve as well. I think I ended up using that as well.
