  • 7.3 Diesel issues...

Anyone near Frisco that can work on my 2000 Excursion 7.3? I have replaced the UVC (under valve cover) wiring harness on the driver side and it ran great afterwards (did this yesterday evening) I was able to determine it was the driver side by taking the temp on each manifold (driver side was much cooler than the pass side while running) but it is now running rough again. Need someone with access to the necessary Ford diag tools to locate issue and fix, maybe someone is wanting/needing some side work?

Though I've replaced a number of the harnesses under the valve covers on theses I'm betting it's the conection on the valve cover gasket itself. I've replaced a shit ton of them.

This is where I will start when I get off this evening. This morning I was grabbing wires and noticed the wires going into the glow plug module for the driver side (there are two connections, one is black and the other is green) were warm to the touch, so I would assume this means there is a short somewhere. I also replaced that glow plug module a few months ago.

Is there also a kit for the top part of UVC wiring harness? That appears to be a lot larger (longer wire harness) hopefully it doesnt cost as much as I think it does....going to google it now, thanks.

its offered as a pigtail through various suppliers instead of having to do the whole harness
