  • 2013 5.0 mod help??

whats everyone doing to them? I work at a Ford store and was going to buy a boss intake, he told me not to because you loose the torque. He also told me to buy the larger injectors and go e85, full exhaust, alluminum 1 peice drive shaft and a tune. Thats it! Anyone run theres on e85, and complaints? Also what is everyone doing to there cars, and whats seems to be the best mods for the money.

    thanks for the help!!

Unless you're going to put forced induction on it I wouldn't waist the money swapping to E85. The gains on a basicly stock N/A car will me very little.

You lose a little torque with the boss intake but you make up for it in HP.

I wouldn't waste your money on a CAI. Just start with exhaust and tune.

I heard that they respond very well to a tune, more so than a CAI etc

i heard the e85 swap is good for 35 to 40 hp, it will not be my daily, but i will drive it 3 days a weeks or so. like the idea of e85, and from what im told, all i would have to do is the injectors, and a tune. Can also have a a 93 octane tune aswell

Get some decent tires and learn to drive it first.

You are not going to see anywhere near 35-40rwhp by swapping to E85 on an almost stock N/A car. If the car was forced induction then yes you would see those type of gains. You might see 5-10rwhp if you are lucky. Not worth the cost of upgrading the fuel system.

I would say upgrade the suspension first. The car has alot to be desired in stock form, its way too soft imo.

Tune the car on pump then tune it for E85 and you won't see more but maybe 5-10rwhp difference. Not worth it at all. If it was FI I would say go for it but not N/A.
