drilling out hood hinge for alignment

I'm having trouble aligning my hood so that there are equal gaps on both sides between the fenders. What if i drilled out the bolt holes for the hood on the hinges? Would that be an alright thing to do to give it a bit more adjustability?

If you mean elongate the holes, sure why not.
