Where would y'all suggest going in the DFW area to get a forged short block built using a teksid block? I know HPP racing, which would be convenient since I'm in Lewisville, but do they do simple builds like that? (I know they build some insane cars). Anywhere else I would want to look?

Thanks for the info. I guess I should also state that I'm not planning on going after big drag racing horsepower numbers, likely going to keep below 600 HP. I'm looking more for a street engine, so going to a place that is race specific isn't necessary. I just don't know how to find an engine builder or machine shop with a good reputation in the area.sigpic

For the power you are looking to make I would still seek out a reputable "race engine" builder. HPP would probably be a good place to start looking for modular engine advice. If you are just trying to be cheap.......Sell the car, you bought the wrong platform to start with.
