92 Honda Prelude Question

Friend of mine has one and has an odd thing it does. If you use the clutch to slow down, he says the check engine light will come on and he smells oil burning. Anyone knows what that could be?

Using the clutch to slow down by barely engaging it like lightly tapping on the brakes?

That is odd. I can see maaaaybe smelling a hot clutch but a cel is weird.

It's the clutch sensor telling him to stop using his clutch like a set of brakes
