      I would just pony up the extra cash and have a set of headers built for the car. By the time you buy the kooks and pay shipping and shit, you are almost to the cost of a custom set.

        I have installed pretty much every brand available, and you get what you pay for. Mac is total shit. I have never once had a set fit without modification. BBK is a 90% good fit 10% minor modification. Pypes dont even consider them complete and total shit! Kooks or American Racing i have never once had to modify them in any way to fit properly.

        You get what you pay for!

          OK then to help me get an idea . Aside from being restrictive . How do yall rate the over all quality of the factory fford headers that came on mustang ? Ford do a good job ? And what is there manufacturing process like ? made in china prolly

            Factory header will be reliable as it gets.

            But they suck, so don't use them.

                Have you fallen down and bumped your head?

                stainless rods are higher, it's harder to cut, bend and trim. You have to (or you SHOULD) backpurge every joint... all of which adds $$$.

                  we do it everyday with 4 fulltime welders sitting and welding stainles and Ti......it actually costs us more to work with mild steel because we don't buy enough of it to get deals. Our labor doesn't change, we have to set the CNC bender no matter what material we are bending, stainless, Ti, or mild all have diff spring back rates.

                      For the newer Mustangs, American Racing look to be a nicer header. They at least tried, with a merge collector

                      I have some Krooks for my Lsx swap, damn things have rust on them. Cheap SS.

                        I have kooks on my vette, they were expensive - that's all I remember. I haven't had any problems or issues since they day I installed them, completely bolt on and forget.
