What is it doing? beside running like "poo poo."

It is hesitating/shaking and struggles to accelerate through the lower RPM range. The coil, plugs, wires, dist cap, catalytic converter are all pretty new. I'm thinking it may be fuel pump related or an o2 sensor. I don't have the space or the time to jack with it though. That's the real problem.

David Mcdavid Honda in Irving. Don't know how far it is for you but I have driven my wifes civic there from Crowley to get it worked on. Like 60 miles one way. I live in Joshua now and wouldn't hesitate to drive it there 70+ miles cause they've always done me right.

CEL light? At least do a test. The jumper is just to the bottom right of the glove box. It should be in a rubber green thing. There are two blue (sometimes gray) plugs, the 2 wire blue plug is the one you want to jump.

Turn off the car, jumper the 2-wire blue plug. Turn key to ign. The CEL will blink once, then start spitting codes. The LONG flashes are the 1x and the short flashes are the x1 spot.

Two long and 3 short = 23.

OBD1 CEL code List

0- code 0 is defined by the CEL remaining on steady both without and with the service connector jumped. If the engine will not start, code 0 indicates that the ECU is not receiving power and/or ground. In this case, begin by checking (1) fuses 24 and 31 (92-95 Civics) or fuses 13 and 44 (96-00 Civics), (2) the main relay, and (3) the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing.

It is fairly new as well. Won't hurt to check it though.

Odds on fuel pump/filter are low. Im betting distributor, if you want to take shots in the dark.

It gradually got worse over the course of a few weeks until I finally parked it and quit driving it.

The ignition coil went out last year so I replaced the dist at that time. These things known for blowing through distributors?

I had my car, 92 Civic, drive like crap, and as soon as I got home the thing just died. Wouldn't start again. Honda put three sensors in the distributor (crank, TDC, and Cylinder pos) that all are needed for it to run, worth a damn. Most of the time, when bad, it wont throw a code.

Kinda, I still put my money on distributor over fuel pump. What kind of distributor did you buy?

Pretty sure it's an Accel distributor. I've jacked with it off and on for a few months now and I'm just ready to throw some money at it and get it fixed. Hasn't been an issue yet, but my work schedule has changed and it's way more convenient having 2 cars at this point. I just don't want to take it somewhere shady or rape-tastic.
