Hahaha at first i though this thread was going to be about someone trying to turn a smog pump into a makeshift supercharger . Some guy i used to know wanted to do that but we all convinced him not to even try

Although i will admit that i have wondered what the power gain would be from removing the smog pump from a stock car . If any at all

Keep in mind you can buy upgraded bearings once you can find a legit part number too. If you put a high speed bearing in there I bet it would last forever but it is going to cost you a little bit. Some of the high speed ones on the impeller side of a Vortech will set you back $75-100 but they can also spin some high rpms.

Try calling Motion Industries in Sherman. (903) 892-4646

Bearings are all they sell. I buy from them pretty often at work.

I dig it, man. Those emissions control devices are what keep modern cars from being smelly, shitty old cars. I should know, I have both.

Keep the catalytic system and fuel vapor emissions stuff intact, it just makes them more pleasant to drive and keep in your garage. I never understood why everyone was so quick to toss that shit.

You might hit up a lawnmower repair shop. I'm surprised you would have a hard time finding those. Maybe try a Napa too. Sorry, Eric!

I think Napa carries BCA also, but they might have some laying around neglected in a warehouse somewhere, since we out sell them.
