Clutch kit

Quick question, I have a clutch and pressure plate out of a 87 5.0, will it work in a 01 gt? Or is that the yr when they changed the transmission?
A Buddy needs one and I have this one just wanted to see if they are interchangeable.

Will not work. The diameter of the pressure plate is different.
