  • Parking brake cable

The parking brake cable broke on my 98 Cobra and I've never had to fix one before.

    How hard is it?

    Any special tools required?

    Any tips or advice?

    Thanks guys.

Which one? The short one from the handle to the "T" or one of the cables that goes from the "T" to the caliper?

Handle is probably the hardest of the two, but not really that bad.

I have no idea which one is broken. I just know there is no tension in the handle anymore and its not working. I guess it's the handle? *shrug*

It was a recall but I don't know if they would still do it for you.

Yep 00S37 looks like 2 brackets, not the cable tho. Only affects dearborn built cars, manual trans from 1994-2001

There is also now a bad grinding noise coming from the brakes. Now I can't even drive the damn thing now. I should just sell this fucking thing.

The caliper is probably closed. I will give you $999.99.
