2: getting temp via factory sender in the front of the drivers head (reads ~230* and via an electrical autometer sensor in the back of the passenger side head (reads ~210-215).

Because of this I would atleast try a new factory sender, or even plug the autometer sender in there if possible. Perhaps the factory guage itself is reading incorrectly.

Id like to see what the temp difference is there. It might help to know if the radiator is doing its job or not.

An easy thing to try would be the addition of an expansion/surge tank. It would increase the coolant volume and ensure there is absolutely no air trapped in the system.

It probably would not be a bad idea to go ahead and pressure test the system if you have not already.

considered doing this, but with a powerglide i spin ~3k rpm on the highway. i've heard that the elec. pumps do better at idle, and are great for drag cars that makes short blast, but for a car that is going to maintain higher rpm's for long periods the pump doesn't keep up (since it doesn't spin relative to engine rpm).

I have a Elec Water Pump on The Rat & it does great street driving in traffic with AC going
