I had sime heads milled years ago and it was a couple hundred bucks. They also had to mill the intake size. As for porting if your just gasket matching then why not do it yourself? I'm sure you could do just fine with some light porting

ive done some stuff, but in the last few years after my "incidents" i have just lost all my patience for my self and i get pissed at myself too easy. i want the job done right no matter if it cost and arm, a leg, or my whole body on the corner at rosedale. thankfully im getting better once the car is done i feel at the very least will be able to properly maintain it in good working order.

With a 55cc chamber, zero deck, 8 cc dishes, and a 4.100 0.038 head gasket thickness, the compression hits 9.67:1
I think 10:1 will be pretty damn hard to hit without milling like crazy.
bore: 4 inches
stroke: 3 inches
pistons are at a -5.3cc
head gasket: .038 to .041
and heads milled to 55cc will bring him pretty damn close to 10:11993 Vibrant Red Cobra #1741.

When I get bored, change the cam or go back to stock and do a turbo kit.
With a dart block of course..

Either way with the heads milled to 55-56cc he will be sitting at a STR of around 10:1 and a DCR around 8.7:1.1993 Vibrant Red Cobra #1741.

when we grew up there was war ball, sand lot football with no helmet, dirtbikes with no helmet, baseball with no head gear, teather ball, monkey bars on concrete.
At the Dallas Pop Festival a guy was openly selling lsd, hawking it like hotdogs saying " get your acid---- LSD right here", loudly. We ask him if it was good stuff--- he pointed the the ambulances loading up people and said, "this is what they bought" ! We all tried it.
as for the compression issue, why would you want 10/1 with todays gasoline and a car with no knock sensor. you will have to have adjustable valve train with guide plates, custom pushrods and be sure to check the valve clearance.

what headers are you going to use?Last edited by jyro; 07-08-2012, 01:51 PM.Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.

what headers are you going to use?
My heads have guild plates and I will be getting stronger pushrods that are the correct length.
It will be dyno tuned and I run nothing but 93 octane already. If it spark knocks I will get out of it hopefully before any damage occurs.
I also will have 7/16 stud mount to rockers, why would I need adjustable?
I have 1.6rr trick flow rocker arms now. I believe they are non adjustable.
