yup, I told him to drop it by you lol.
Too much wheel hop over the years...and a ton of recent 4k+ clutch dumps on it finally a half shaft apparently.
The reason he is looking for a whole IRS is because Ford no longer produces the part he needs and the aftermarket ones are overpriced and won't be worth it for a near stock car.
Anyone have a 28 spline half shaft? The faster the better....He's using my car.

If you don't, what is needed to convert it to a 31 spline rear? I can pick up some cheap 04 cobra halfshafts, but I don't know if that will be more cost efficient or not.

I have halfshafts, but I am unsure as to if they are 28 or 31 spline. Are they the same as the markviii?

I think Mark VIII half shafts are a little bit longer than the cobra....I'm not completely sure though.
I'm positive the VIII' is a 28 spline

I had heard that the MKVIII IRS was actually the basis for the 99/01 Cobra IRS and that they were interchangable.

one half shaft and that was it I guess.

He found a 100% complete 04 cobra rearend with low miles for $500. Should he go for it? It will cost him 150 in shipping to get it here though.
