Just got done adding PAG (4oz) to the compressor. 2oz into the condenser & 2oz into the evap. Total of 8oz.

Im running a new Sn95 mustang condensor which is larger than stock, plus its for r134a.

also using a smart variable orfice valve, which should keep the temps down @ idle. (big problem on foxbodys)

5° - 12°F colder air (at hot idle)
Reduced compressor load and extended compressor life
Improved performance when converting from R-12 to R-134a
Improved city fuel economy & emissions
Improved performance in factory R134a systems

electric fan is a Mark VII which will run all the time.

Should have it blowing cold by sunday. Ill post in cab temps when done.
    One day at a time.

Sounds pretty good. Being that your system isn't stock size when you charge tge system try and get the intake and exhaust lines of the evaporator equal around 32*-34*. Colder incoming means the system is starving for refrigerant, colder on the exhaust side means it's flooded.

Sounds a little sketchy, what I've used in the past is in a large metallic can and in liquid form just Poor in then push it through the system with shop air, of course omitting the dryer and compressor.

Ill get some pics posted later. The condensor lines 90 out of the condensor and follow the upper radiator hose to the compressor. The liquid line runs under the upper intake(drivers side) where the vov is and follows firewall to evap where it 90s in.

Wasnt many options, as im running the on3 turbokit which uses ALL my pass side enginebay. I wanted to make everything easy to fix/repair later. Its already a clusterfuk with efi and turbo. Adding ac didnt help.Lol.

Tell me about it. Try it in a SN95 with BG kit, even less room. I had to make it work though; A/C and Power Steering, next up is cruise control. lol

Did your fittings not have the schrader valves in them?

yeah they do. I just hooked up the low side and its reading 120+ while engine is off. Started car and bypassed switch to kick on clutch and lowside didnt change pressure.

Did my reman compressor take a crap on me?

glad i just craped away 3 cans of 134.

Best of luck getting it all blowing cold Scott. And post some pics when you get a chance. I'm fixing to add PA 130A 3G Alt, Contour Dual fans, and DC Controller to my '92. I'm just waiting on the DC controller to get here. The car and the A/C have a little tougher time staying frosty cold when the car isn't moving. The electric fan should help.

What's high side pressure show? It sounds very well like it's the compressor but check you're orfice tube as well since it's variable a restriction could cause a high low side reading.

sounds like the compressor is shot. hopefully you didnt overcharge it it will blow the compressor seals out. i know because ive done it too much refrigerant isnt a good thing
