Buy a 30 gallon drum of race fuel. Refill at The house before you leave.
if i run race gas from my house to denton (50+ miles) i'll burn through the 8 gallon cell in the process ($80+ worth of fuel).

i think this could be a lot less complicated then it sounds and would give me the option to turn it up any time i want without having to always deal with e85.

personally I like the two tank idea. You could do electric valves instead of the manual

How hard would it be to do three tanks?

I like the idea of just running one fuel. But if you want to run 2 different fuels and one for when you go to the track you can either drain the tank then add the race gas or just run enough 93 to get you there then mix the fuels. My stock tank will hold 15gals of gas and I run on E85. If I'm going to drive a long way and race and what not I just bring another 5 gallon jug with me full of fuel.

then what do you do with that jug when you get to the track. can't really leave shit sitting around at kdale these days. i like the concept of driving in, switching the feed/return over to the cell, making my runs, then switching back and driving home. i'd probably prime the pump 2-3 times after switching the inlet (before switching the return) to try to keep cross contamination down (from what is still in the lines/rails), but it wouldn't be a big deal even if i didn't.

I can usually find a bunch of people I know that I can leave my jug with if need be, but I trailer my car to the track I mainly bring a fuel jug with me if I go out to any gtg's that is pretty far away that I know I might get into some action with some people. If you want dual tanks it will work just extra plumbing.

Bring fuel with you to track 5gal or buy fuel at the track put just enough 93 in tank to get to track, Race car after you finish race gas should be almost gone, drive to gas station and put 93 back in tank. Problem solved.

If you do end up using two tanks why not just use two fuel cells instead of the stock tank? Maybe keep your 8 gallon one and put a 5 gallon one in there next to it. Not sure if that would be easier though

If you must run two cells, Quit bieng lazy and cut the spare tire well out - that will gain you 6" + of ground clearance - if you're running two tanks, or even one big one.

You're going to spend a ton of money in fittings if you do this "right", somewhere near 500$ I suspect. Possibly a lot more if you have to get a secondary fuel pump. (if you use AN fittings and not hardware store shit) - that same money will get you 8-10 trips to the track, on E85, I bet.

When I drove my car to the track, I simply drained the 93 at the track and raced on 110. Time to go, put the 93 back in. You already have a pump gas tune, reload it when it's time to go.

I personally don't like any extra parts that necessary - especially if one of them fails you can pop another motor because of it.

Brooks is right James. Just run one cell and drain the fuels if needed. Stop trying to make shit hard and complicated.

Id K.I.S.S. if it were me.

Either run one fuel system and pay the price to play or get a truck/trailer if you dont want to waste the fuel. Making two seperate fuel systems, running 2 tunes and more fittings than a plane just seems a little too complicated, lol.
IMO id run a stock sumped tank and race gas or E85, id rather burn a little more fuel than risk running lean/detonation/more engine issues.
