Had no idea what this was, and found this.

From what I gather. It's used to put the nut on the end of a steel braided line, without the braids fraying out and causing a pain in the ass? Pretty nifty tool. Seems very simple and somewhat easy to replicate.

Matt has something like that, but not exactly that tool. Does the same though.

i used a worm clamp, but that looks like it would be easier.
