This car is hardly ever driven on the street. It's strictly a drag car though. Would that change your mind at all?

You might want to just get a launch box.
If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

Go with some used trick flow heads, s trim, maybe holley systemax.2 intake. good fuel pump and some 42 injectors. The PMS is pretty nice for tuning and user friendly.

If you want 400+ hp get the on3 turbo kit, used 42 lb injectors and a tune. Their is one for sale in the forums. Mine kit fit perfect and I've been mid 7s untuned.
            One day at a time.

Typical of a younger man. We have all owned rattle trap launch machines. My current car handles like a dream and rides smooth as hell. Doesn't feel like it is going to fall apart at 100+. Sticks to the road and goes were you point it. Not so much could be said for my first fast foxbody.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

All the power in the world aint worth shit if you can't get to the ground. I know more than a few cars out there that are faster than the big HP cars because they get all there power to the road when the high power car just sit there and spins. You asked, we told you and your just interested in a car that sounds fast, so put your money in the motor,go to the track and get your ass handed to you.
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,

but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake

Trickflow heads ftw. Best seat of the pants addition ever. Otherwise - have an s-trim for ya. A little susp would be good but unless you are road racing I would not worry about a 4k susp kit. Subframes and tubular stuff is just fine to start. Or spare shortblock and nitrous. Hell its a fox there are a million ways to go. My t-top car went 7.80's with b cam and trickflows (4.10 gears) and my buddy has been 7.20 on a stock motor with spray. Decisions-decisions....

Fuck that suspension I would add the power first. $4000 on suspension for a drag car that makes no power is retarded. I would do a cheap turbo kit, heads/cam/intake. Then as soon as the budget allows, get a Wolfe rear suspension kit and shocks/struts and go have some fun.

If you'll read the full thread, you'll see that I didn't argue about the suspension. Just asked questions about it since I know nothing about it. I asked why spend the money if it hooks now? I'm not just interested in a car that sounds fast, and I wasn't trying to offend anyone. Just simply asking questions about the suspension aspect. I didn't rule it out altogether.

                        Prick.

I'd slap a used S Trim or Novi 1 or 2k on it.

You'll need injectors, air meter, fuel pump, and a tune.

You should be able to do all that and still have money left for a used set of twisted wedges, which with the blower will give you all the power you need to build another motor down the road.

On a track car I've ran 1.5s 60' on well under $500 in total parts. If you don't have full length sub frames you need them first. Then a good set of rear control arms.

i say 0n3 turbo kit, injectors, maf, fuel pump, tune, upper and lower control arms ,slicks an go beat on it. And build ur rear end later should hold up to that power level anyway.
