              I worked in the auto sound/ window tint industry for a long time and before we started using a steamer to remove old tint we would use the black trash bags during the summer months and unless the tint was all bubbled up it would reverse the glue most of the time. We would use fantastic cleaner also to remove the glue that remained on the glass. You can use green scotch brite pads to scrub the glue.

                  I did the trash bag thing but used an ammonia / water mix. Left the car in the middle of the driveway and let it bake on one of those super hot summer days. 90% of the glue and tint came off no problem. Had to do a little scraping on the rear window where it was hard to get the bag taped down good.
