  • Car ran out of gas now the brakes are hard

    My wife ran out of gas now we have this problem. I Google it and i found why it happens but how do you make it go away

    Put gas in tank. Start engine.

      I got a good chuckle out of that one.

        Yeah, this happened to me before in another car but after refueling, it went away

          Im hearing a click by the shifter and a hiss under the hood. Maybe vacuum? Ill have to wait till this sob cools down to have a look

            Damn, sounds like what happend to my dad years ago when he had a LTD. Ran out of gas and the damn thing never ran right again,would hunt for idle, hissing sound at idle, he replaced carb, intake gaskets etc. Finally gave up on it and sold it as is.

              when running out of fuel, it probably lean popped and blew a vacuum hose off. Try to find your hissing noise

                  I'm sure it did. It's probably the lock out switch. Need to depress the brake peddle to move the shifter?
