  • Muffler shop in Lewisville

I have a friend in Lewisville who needs a catalytic converter installed on his 2004 Taurus. He doesn't want to fork out for a new one, so he wanted to buy an ebay special and get a shop to put it in. Any recommendations for a good shop that will allow you to bring in parts?

    Thanks in advance.

I took a BTM muffler to B&B Muffler and they didn't care where I bought it & had it installed pretty quick.

They have been around for a long time. I used them for a custom exhaust system on my '55 Austin Heally 25 years ago.

On the 04 Taurus the only converter that will take a universal is the down stream converter. It takes a direct fit replacement for the front two.

Good luck with that. You have to pull the axle and break down the passenger side suspension to get the crossover assembly out.
