  • Windor sr. Heads and a f-303 cam ?

I just got a set of windor sr. Heads and a f- cam. I was wondering if if this is a good setup for my little 306. If it is going to be a good sounding plus low end torque. Little street car. Is the f-cam good cam with those heads and my combo or should I go with another cam?

I actually have that set up in my car and does OK, best at the track so far is 8.3@ 83 with a 1.78 60'

        Not much better then stock.

        With a 1.84 60ft I got a 8.40 at 81.7 so 1.3mph gain. Lol

Just saying! There's a lot of variables in that, but for the time/money/energy spent in doing all that work, a good running stock h/c/I will get it done, and have 300+ftlbs at the wheels before 3,000rpm

I would have the heads milled.

OP id go with some explorer heads and intake with that cam, use Mac headers to clear the spark plugs, use 1.6 rocker arms and be around 280rwhp and 310+ torque. I'd say that set up in a coupe should high 7s or low 8s at about 83-85mph.. Just my guesses!!

Edit: this a carb or fuel injected car?

That would help alot.. The f cam sounds real nice at idle. After some thinking the sr heads should perform fine if you're on a budget.

Will it work? Yes. Is it the best combo? No.

That said, if you already have them, run it.

Only reason I got these heads was because they're a decent size and were cheap, as far as the f cam I used it because I plan to go turbo on my car as heard it a ok boost cam. Didn't you pull weight from your car to? I still have ac and everything including tools in the trunk

A tad bit. It weighs about 2700 with 1/4 tank of gas and draglites. Around 2880 with me in it. That's with the seats out, they're back in now. It should lose ~100 lbs here pretty soon. I called jarred from subway and he gave me some weight saving tips.

I'm just poking fun, having a light car makes the word of difference.

That is retarded light. My 86 with roll-em-ups and the light ass halo seats weighed 3575 with me in last time at the track... I'd been runnin 9s sideways at your weight. Lmfao

That was with the ponies on. Stock suspension and stock iron heads lol

I have alum heads, aje k member, removing crash bumpers and I put on dumps for now. So I should be 100+lbs lighter. It should scoot!

I have the f-cam but I would like something else. Not looking for a nasty idle looking build the right setup! I would like to get a better cam that will work the best. Does anyone have a nice cam for sale or trade ? Im going to run a 1.72 roller rocker. So what do y'all think would a nice cam? Idle/low end/all around.
