  • 85 gt front brake upgrade?

anyone have all the stock front brake items from an 87-92 fox? Currently have the stock 85 disk which are an inch smaller in diameter I think? I want the larger disk up front without changing to 5 lug if its cheap enough but not sure what all I need or if this is even worth the trouble. Thanks.

Not worth it. Nothing beats a cheap SN95 and up 5 lug convertion.

It's a cheap upgrade and definitely worth the trouble if you don't get into it too deep money wise. Upgrade to good aftermarket pads with the '87-'93 spindles for the most noticable improvement.

You'll need spindles, calipers, brake hoses, fluid, and pads.

Being you want to stay 4 lug, it's a cheap upgrade since people practically give the stuff away when they do a 5 lug conversion.

Just make sure you get v8 parts since the 4cyl are the same 10" stuff you already have.

If you want to add to that, run a set of Lincoln Mark VII calipers. They have 73mm pistons vs the 60mm Mustang V8 and the 66mm SN95.

Once everything is swapped, do the lincoln calipers work/bolt right up without changing anything else?

I get that, but already have two sets of different wheels and tires in 4 lug. Don't feel like buying anymore if I can get someone's hand me downs on the cheap.

Direct bolt on. You even use the same pads.
