It looks really close from that angle. Take and post a pic from directly above the rail and compressor line. If there is enough room, you can do that.

If you change the rotation of the fuel 90 will the ac line not fit

Yep, its close. Set the fuel 90* fitting at a 45 angle, the remove compressor and install a/c line then reinstall compressor. Should have just enough room. Maybe.. lol

Harbor freight sells a cheap vaccum pump and gauges. Might be worth the $$ to buy them and charge buddy's for ac service.

Better hope that cheap pos will pull a vacuum good enough to boil or you'll just be pissing in the wind.

welp, i have cold ac. it was cold enough to "burn" my hands while driving home today. i was 100 percent comfortable and couldnt take it being any colder. however, this was driving home just now and the outside temps had already dropped to 90 so the true test will be hold efficient it is when its 104 outside.

also, at idle ac blows through the defrost and anything above 1000 rpm it starts blowing through the vents like it should....

well, i didnt know there were a couple of o rings on top of the compressor where the high and low side fitting mount. i put a ton of dye in there just to be sure and right on top of the compressor it is leaking from both sides since it had the black o rings in there still. hopefully i can get those swapped tomorrow and be back in business. any insight to the above post? i know vacuum can result in it defaulting to the defrost but is it also responsible for the above mentioned problem?

You are not getting enough vacuum at idle. Do you have the small vacuum canister connected? Its round and mounted in the passenger front fender area. Or you might need a larger one? Do you have a wild cam in that 351? Or maybe you have a pin hole leak...

ive also noticed my brakes are a little weak so maybe it is vacuum related.
