  • A1000 Controller or not?

About to install sump tank in my Fox
    with the Aeromotive A1000 pump
Car is mainly a toy limited street use with track times.
Need some feedback from folks here running the similar pump with or w/o
    Fuel Pump Controller. tia
Also planning on installing pump bolting to the hard shell tank cover
    good, bad?
Mock up- will have 2 filters 100 micron inlet>10micron outlet

I ran the controller. Doesn't hurt anything. I also had the pump on the shell. Worked fine!

I would use the controller if you are planning on doing any street driving at all. My A1000 (without controller) would heat the fuel up so badly that it would eventually vapor lock in the feed line and leave me stranded on the side of the road.

              Thanks for the help
if I do decide to use a controller,
Does it have to be Aeromotive?

I ran mine without a controller, had it hanging outside the shell, never had any vapor lock issues.

I have mine set up just like yours and once the temps hit the 90* combined with a 30 mile commute its on.

If mounting to plastic cover, use large fender washers on back side. This will spread load across more of the plastic.

FWIW, Glenns Performance has an in-line fuel cooler. I'm thinking about using one in conjunction with a controller once I start the build of my coupe.
