I forgot you weren't using a factory sumped tank.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

        Something else to think about...
The return could be returning too much pressure not enough volume, which too much pressure would be causing too much cavitation.
        Makes sense to me.
        Lol

When you are experiencing the problem, crack the fuel filler cap. Air rushing out or in would indicate the vent is not enough.
I understand what your saying but I fixed my problem with a bigger return.

well i hooked up the aeromotive fuel pump speed controller on it again and the tach sensing part doesn't work, it is either because the pump controller doesn't recognize the ls1 tach signal or something is wrong with it. on the flip side the manual override switched portion works.

any problem using a hobbs pressure switch to speed up the pump? just have it speed the pump up at 1psi or something?

You might need one of these tach adapters for the signal http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-9117/

meh, i just went ahead and bought a 0-15psi adjustable hobbs switch, seems more reasonable to activate it with boost vs. rpm (esp. with a powerglide that cruises at 3k rpm)

What about just getting a bigger tank? Might try to heat wrap the lines anywhere close to exhaust.

I'd think about the bigger tank but even if I put in a 15 gallon I won't want to go racing with it full, so at some points it'll be holding less then 5 gal which is where I am probably normally at now.

As for the heat wrap I have all those hoses that are anywhere close to hear wrapped. Brooks did identify a cross over hose I should relocate from going upset the manifold to over it so I will try that plus the speed controller and try to get the return to splash the fuel cell wall vs jusy pouring into the cell. Hopefully one of all three will buy me some help.

Oh, and anyone see a problem with the pressure switch for the speed controller? Aeromotive said the eliminator in slow speed will support 500rw, figure if I power it up at 1-2psi I should be well taken care of?

Kinda bizzar problem you are having. Tons of guya running around with very similar setups and no issues.. the speed controller should solve the problem. Also i would do a sumped stock tank. Having a full tank shouldnt slow you down enough to worry. Most the cars I have seen run a 12 gallon tank most of the time full.. what doesn't make sense is it only doing it at idle... The fuel is gonna flow the same whether your idling or cruising..

i chalk it up under hood temps going through the roof with limited air moving through the engine bay. for example the last time it bs'd it also melted the nylon co2 line going to my wastegate just from underhood heat!

well the real reason is i am a jew and don't feel like buying a new cell/sumped tank and the secondary reason is i dont want to carry around and extra 80-100lbs if i dont have to
