Most of the 6.0s already have the egr delete. I will find out about if they have had the studs put in the heads, that is a big issue, when I researched it.
The deck on the head is too short, the studs are too weak and the combination equals disaster. If the heads were more substantial and the factory head studs weren't shit, the 6.0 would have had great reviews. Structurally, the bottom end is stout.

I don't tow anything over a car, and trailer, and haul 6 people at times, I just like bigger trucks. I wouldn't think I could hurt it. If I haven't hurt my 5.4, but who knows. I will sure look into all of that, as I do not want to have issues up the road.

My Dad's 99 with the Diablo Chip was pretty badass in my opinion. I so would have fought for that truck if it were not a longbed when he traded it. His new F350 is a Hoss though. With a Hoss price tag.

That is the truth. I found a super clean V10 08 within my price range, those bitches are hella nice.

6.0s get such a bad wrap for no reason...left alone they would likely never have issues...and the factory head BOLTS....only had issues on the 05-05.5 model trucks and was due to increased cylinder pressure with an aftermarket tuner exceeding its limits. The Egr delete isn't even necessary if you keep up with routine maintenance. Overheating is what causes the cooler itself to crack. I have tuned dozens of those trucks with no issues. And I would much rather have a 6.0 over a clattering ass 7.3!

Buddy of mine was towing his race car to the track when the headgasket blew on him. Talk about a shitty night.

Only that sucks with your 5.4 is the damn spark plugs. Fuck that shit.

That sucks, but I have done two tune ups on it, and it is not nearly as hard as its made out to be. People just wait way to long to do it.

We had a 5.4 3v expidition at school and our new Nigerian (no joke) teacher with no field experience chose that model to do a compression test on. I was like dude are you serious?

My side came out fine because I was careful, the other side not so much.. Lol

Teacher was like "it keeps turning but won't come out??" I was like "told ya, that one would break, now you gotta hellacious job to do"

He insisted I was wrong and it was the wrong size socket and the nut was rounded. I lol'd and watched him struggle.

He never said anything after he found he found out I was right all along.. 2 weeks later his ass was fired lol!

lol, nice! Yeah you have to spray them let them sit for a few hours, and then crack them over. Spray them again, and let them sit over night. The biggest mistake people make is if they get tight when you are taking them out, the get mean with them, and they break. All you do is tighten it back up and repeat process. Lucky for me, I never had any issues.

They say if you sea foam it before it helps. Soaking in carb cleaner helps too.

Mine came out fine and fast lol.

Yep, that is all I did, and it was just as easy as a push rod motor, it just took a little more time.
