I paid over $2000 for mine and I've heard of guys breaking lots of "bulletproof" setups. 600rwhp is a handful.

Let me know how soon you're planning to buy one. Maybe we can work something out on mine. I'm still in the process of tearing my car down (down to the shortblock right now) and plan on pulling the whole thing out still connected to the sb and going back with a stocker to sell the car. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about it more.

I know of at least one guy running a 630RWP thunderbird SC with the stock M5R2 and the only issues he had was the syncro rings. You will not break that transmission.

Internally, they are about on par with a TR3650 in gear size, syncro ring type and shift rail designs. Over all, they are about the same strength too with a slight disadvantage from not having a carbon fiber lined ring in it. I have built a shit of the F150 and Ranger units over the years.

The M5R2 RKE has fiber lined snycros. You're the expert on transmissions, but I know my Super Coupes. I haven't seen a single case of broken gears or input shafts on one of these transmissions.
