      tko 600
      t-56
Built AOD..Would require 1 piece input shaft which would still give you overdrive but no lock up feature on the converter
      c4, no overdrive

My car, I would do the tko or maybe the t56

          Other auto options:

4R70W from a V6 car, built, with a Baumann controller
          AOD with 4R70W internals

Which of these step the most cost effective.
Tko 600 look to be around 1500

            What about the rest?

This seems like it could be done for plenty south of 1500. What costs are in there?

I've got a Mike's Trick Shift built AOD and custom converter from my turbo build that I'm selling. It's held up pretty well to the 550rwhp I've been throwing at it for the last few years. I think I've got it listed for $1500 and I paid more than that for it. I've got a build sheet for it somewhere if you're interested.

You might find a used TKO600 for under $1500 but I'd bet it's been hammered on pretty good.

Another "Stick" option is the Astro or G-Force T5
I've read that the TKO are cruchy when shifting
not as smooth like the T5 is.

problem with those is that yes the internals are bullet proof but the case itself will fail under high hp..kinda like putting forged rods and crank in a stock 302 block, its not really worth it...I think one of those companys though make an upgraded case that will handle high hp/tq

i'd consider it but the parts for it start at 1600.xx alone.
