Sam knows I'm retarded (like the rain man when it comes to this shit). There is one point you know but all these other people don't. I plan to make nearly 2000 rw, and I don't know of any pos ls motors that are holding up to that. Jason Lee's pos 360 inch 86 GT just ran a 7.3 @ 1 fucken 90 on a 275 dr with a F1X... Dunno any ls or chevys under 500 inches doin that... Just sayin.

If you want to be Fed EX and haul the fucken mail, a LS will break. Fuck they can break making very low power too as we both know... A built aftermarket block sbf will hold all the power your balls will allow. It'll be enough for my small tire car anyway.

Does the OP current motor have good heads? If so, I would be more inclined to stick with a SBF, but it would depend on which heads.

I think for anything less than 1krwhp, its hard to beat an LS1. Problem is, its pretty easy to make 1K rwhp these days.

if it were not for how expensive an good engine management system cost for sbf i might have gone sbf in my coupe, but for the price of a fast/bs3 i bought my entire engine/wiring harness/pcm! for a jew the lsx is the way to go, for a baller aftermarket block turbo sbf is pretty sick too.
