I have a 91 5.0, h/c/i, and many of the typical fox mods, anyway the car idles fine after you start it when its cold, and will idle fine all day long untill you turn it off. After I restart it, when its still hot, it will not idle at all. I can shut it off and restart it right back up and this happens. I have replaced and reset the tps, replaced the iac, set the idle correctly, and nothing seems to help. I also have searched for vacuum leaks and cant find a thing, any help would be nice....

Welcome to the foxbody h/c/i headache. I had a buddy tell me about cheap little band-aid that will fix the idle hunt about 99.99%. It is called "IDLE AIR CONTROL ADJUSTER". This is a Ford part #F2PZ-9F939-A. I bought mine from latemodel restoration for around $60.00. I have another friend down in Katy that was having the same problem and put one on his car last week and now no more idle surge. Good luck! Two in the pink and one in the stink

I have one on my car, it works wonders! Well worth the money spent. Ford has them, and so does Dallas Mustang.
This is what you are looking for.

I installed one last night on a 331 stroker motor. I bought it a year ago, but just never got around to installing it. It works very well. The paperwork say it is adjusted for a 302 from the factory. I get about 800 RPM at idle and about 750 RPM with all accessories on. (140 Amp alternator and Contour electric fans). I may try to adjust down a little with the allen screws. It worked perfectly when I first cranked the car, but after restarting it did search a little for idle and then settled down. Well worth the money. Be sure to read the instructions if you have a 351 cu in. there is a little plug you have to knock out.

I'm having a similar issue, my car on start up cold/hot will surge for a few seconds or untill I drive it atleast a block then it idles perfect untill I shut it off then it repeats itself. It's not a huge issue but It does bother me. I had someone tell me it was because my car is getting to much fuel in start up? Wondering if the iac adjuster would help?
