                      Not all pre -86 AOD's had carb'd engines. CFI injection started in 1984 on V8 & V6 cars with the only transmission choice behind it an AOD. These early AOD's used a TV rod (TV cable was introduced in 1986) and were weaker than the later AOD's.

                        I know Steve but he installed it, raced it, rebuilt it. Figured he would know. Just a thought.
