I had this happen on mine, ended up having to get it towed to gthe dealership. Have a dealership run the vin and see if the recall has been done. A violent back and forth shake of the wheel might temporarily break the pin loose.

Search it on corvetteforum numerous threads on it. If it is already locked you might be screwed. You can try the yank the wheel plan but only a few have had luck with it.

Yeah I have a thread on tech in the Texas Section on it & one of the members suggested the Yanking on wheel idea. But no luck

Any other ideas on getting it unlocked so I can install this http://corvettesofhouston.com/43-cor...mn-lock-bypass

Also the Key Fob doesnt unlock or lock the doors anymore

If I remember right once it is locked you have to remove the solenoid by taking the column apart. I got mine done before it locked up so I have not taken any of that apart.

Gonna have it towed to Dealership. After much google & research. Im looking at $390 - tow. Lucky I have a truck & trailer to save on tow! But still Fuel at 14 mpg 90 miles round trip! $25 in fuel & my time.

Not sure if recall has been performed, But gonna call & check & see if I can get a break. But knowing my luck!

But from what I have read. This is GM defect & GM has done a really good job at avoiding taking responsbilty for it. So we will see how it plays out

I had this happen to my z06 that already had the recall preformed. I ended up fixing it for .99. Shake the accordion tube where the wires run through from the door and body. If you lights flicker on your door switches this could be the main problem. Theres a wire where the connection is made in that accordion that the plastic sheath pulls away and exposes the wire. That in turns causes it to arc and do whatever the hell it does to cause that wait 10 seconds message to appear. After wrapping it with electrical tape I never got the message again and my switches worked every time after. If that doesnt work you could install a K-harness that supposed to bypass the column lock. I believe theres one on CL at the moment. Almost all electrial problems on these cars can be traced back to dirty grounds so so check all those too.
